The mediastinum is a place where tumours occasionally grow. It is also a place one can find various cysts.

Specific diagnoses

Fibrosing mediastinitis

  • Fever.
  • Cough.

Etiology:

  • Various - infectious, idiopathic.[3]

Microscopic

Features:

  • Fibrous tissue.
  • +/-Microorganisms.
