Endometrium with psammoma bodies is an uncommon finding.
General
- Psammoma bodies be seen in benign or malignant conditions; the important malignancy that should not be missed is serous carcinoma of the endometrium.

ENDOMETRIUM, CURETTAGE: - PROLIFERATIVE ENDOMETRIUM WITH SMALL ROUND GLANDS AND SHEDDING, SEE COMMENT 1. - ONE PSAMMOMATOUS CALCIFICATION, SEE COMMENT 2. - BENIGN ENDOCERVICAL MUCOSA. - NEGATIVE FOR HYPERPLASIA. - NEGATIVE FOR MALIGNANCY. COMMENT 1: The changes are suggestive of anovulatory bleeding. COMMENT 2: This is a nonspecific finding; psammoma bodies may be seen in a benign context.
