Tension-free vaginal tape mesh

Tension-free vaginal tape mesh, abbreviated TVT mesh, is a treatment for stress urinary incontinence.[1]


  • 80% effective - in one series.[1]
  • May be exposed to due to secondary erosion or bladder injury - frequency up to 4%.[2]

- Foreign material consistent with mesh.
- Benign reactive fibrous tissue without significant inflammation.
- NEGATIVE for malignancy.
