Sclerotic metastasis

Sclerotic metastasis refers the imaging appearance of metastatic disease. Sclerotic metastases are less common than lytic metastases.
The classic sclerotic metastases are:[1]
- Breast cancer.
- Prostate cancer.
Sclerotic bone lesions which are not strictly metastases can also be seen in:
- Systemic mastocytosis
- Certain forms of myeloma (e.g. so-called "osteosclerotic" myeloma in POEMS syndrome)
