STAT6
Immunostain in short

STAT6+ve in Hemangiopericytoma.
Normal staining pattern cytoplasmic staining (nuclear is diagnostic)
Positive Hemangiopericytoma, SFT
Negative any healthy tissue

Signal transducer and activator of transcription 6, commonly abbreviated STAT6 is a diagnostic immunostain, because nuclear staining is found in some specific types of cancer that carry a NAB2-STAT6 fusion [1] or have a STAT6 amplification.[2]

Cytoplasmic STAT6 staining is seen in a wide variety of tissue and represents normal protein localization.
