Mixed squamous cell and glandular papilloma of the lung, is a rare benign lesion of the lung.[1] It is also known as a mixed papilloma.[2]
It is also known as pulmonary mixed squamous cell and glandular papilloma.[3]
General
- Can mimic adenocarcinoma of the lung.[3]
- Very rare ~ 10 reported cases in the English literature as of 2011.[4]
- Resection curative.[1]
Microscopic
Features - both 1 & 2:
- Glandular elements without significant atypia.
- Squamous elements without significant atypia.
DDx:
- Lung hamartoma.
- Adenosquamous carcinoma of the lung.
- Squamous cell carcinoma of the lung.
- Adenocarcinoma of the lung.
