Sarcina organisms are seen in gastrointestinal tract.

General

Described complications:[1]

  • Gastric perforation.
  • Emphysematous gastritis.

Notes:

  • Sarcina ventriculi = Gram-positive organism.[1]

Features:

  • Erythema.
  • +/-Gastric ulcer.
  • +/-Retained food.
