It may be abbreviated GRCC.
General
- Very rare.
- Possibly a variant of apocrine carcinoma.[1]
- Prognosis usually poor.
Microscopic
Features:
- Groups of cells with abundant clear cytoplasm - need to comprise 90% of the tumour.[2]
- Various architectural arrangements: cords, trabeculae, clusters, cribriform.
- Minimal nuclear pleomorphism.
Notes:
- Histologic appearance may be similar to hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma.
DDx:
- Signet-ring carcinoma.
- Lipid-rich carcinoma.
- Apocrine carcinoma.
- Secretory carcinoma.
