Osseous metaplasia, abbreviated in OM, is the formation of benign bone in an abnormal location.

May be seen in benign and malignant contexts.

- Renal cell carcinoma - uncommon.[2]
- Malignant mixed muellerian tumour (MMMT).[1]
- Lung adenocarcinoma - considered rare.[3]
