Formula

A formula can be a useful thing in medicine.

Here is one - the cumulative distribution function of the binomial distribution:

$F(m;c,p)=\sum _{i=0}^m(\genfrac{}{}{0ex}{}{c}{i})p^i(1-p{)}^{c-i}$

This is the formula for pack years:

$\text{1 py}=\frac{\text{1 pack}}{day}\times \text{1 year}$

The RCB index is defined as:

$RCB=1.4(f_{inv}{d}_{prim}{)}^{0.17}+[4(1-0.75^{LN})d_{met}{]}^{0.17}$
