Epstein-Barr Virus-associated gastric carcinoma

Epstein-Barr Virus-associated gastric carcinoma, abbreviated EBVaGC, is a stomach cancer associated with the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).

General

EBV is thought to be associated with approximately 10% of gastric carcinomas.[1][2]

Microscopic

Features:

  • Epithelial malignancy with lymphoid stroma.[3]
