The ureter is uncommonly afflicted by pathology that the pathologist sees on a day-to-day basis.

Ureteris cystica

General

Gross

  • Smooth/round projections into the lumen.

Features:

  • Nests of urothelium within the lamina propria with cyst formation, i.e. lumens are present.
