Tyrosine kinase inhibitors, abbreviated TKIs, are a group of drugs that inhibit the action of tyrosine kinases.

The category includes many cancer drugs - including:

  • Imatinib (Gleevec).
  • Gefitinib (Iressa).
  • Erlotinib (Tarceva).

Others - used in RCC:[1]

  • Sunitinib (Sutent).
  • Sorafenib (Nexavar).
  • Pazopanib (Votrient).
