Sinusitis is a thing that occasionally comes to the pathologist. This article deals with nonspecific sinusitis, i.e. sinusitis without an identifiable cause.

Microscopic

Features:

  • Sinonasal mucosa with chronic inflammation.
    • Ciliated epithelium.
    • +/-Squamous epithelium.
    • Subepithelial glands.
  • +/-Bone.
