Colitis cystica profunda, abbreviated CCP, a very rare gastrointestinal pathology.

General

  • Very rare ~ 200 cases reported.[1]
  • Benign - may mimic of adenocarcinoma.[2]
  • The same process in the small bowel is enteritis cystica profunda.[1]

Features:

  • Mucin filled cysts in the submucosa.[2][3]
  • +/-Inflammation.
