Benign lymphoepithelial lesion, also known as benign lymphoepithelial cyst, is a rare benign lesion of the head and neck.

General

  • Usually parotid gland.
  • Associated with autoimmune disease, e.g. Sjoegren disease, may not remain benign.[1]

Microscopic

Features:

  • Lymphocytes.
  • Ductal epithelial cells.[2]

Note:

IHC

  • CD20, CD3 -- mixed population.
  • Kappa ~ lambda.
