Lytic metastasis

Lytic metastasis refers the imaging appearance of metastatic disease. They are differentiated from sclerotic metastases.

Lytic metastases are more common that sclerotic metastasis.[1]

Common lytic metastases include:[2]

  • Lung cancer.
  • Melanoma.
  • Renal cancer.
  • Thyroid cancer.
