Sclerosing mucoepidermoid carcinoma with eosinophilia is an extremely rare tumour of the thyroid gland.
General
- Associated withh chronic thyroiditis, e.g. Hashimoto's thyroiditis.
Microscopic
Features:
- Mucous cells
- Squamoid differentiation.
DDx:
Stains
- Mucin stains +ve.
Molecular
- Negative for MAML2 rearrangements.[1]
