Keratoconus is a pathology of the cornea.

General

Relatively common.

Microscopic

Features:

Thinning of the cornea.^[1]
Anterior limiting lamina with variable thickness.^[1]

Notes:

Anterior limiting lamina inferior of basement membrane - normally has a uniform thickenss.
