Keratoconus is a pathology of the cornea.

General

  • Relatively common.

Microscopic

Features:

  • Thinning of the cornea.[1]
  • Anterior limiting lamina with variable thickness.[1]

Notes:

  • Anterior limiting lamina inferior of basement membrane - normally has a uniform thickenss.
