Corneal ulcer

Corneal ulcer is benign pathology of the eye characterized by (a focal) loss of the corneal epithelium.

General

• Cause: trauma.
• May threaten sight in the eye.

Microscopic

Feature:

• Ulceration of squamous epithelium.^{[citation needed]}

DDx:

• Squamous dysplasia.
