Abnormal uterine bleeding

Abnormal uterine bleeding, abbreviated AUB, is a clinical diagnosis in which the underlying cause has not been determined.

Causes

• Dysfunctional uterine bleeding - other pathologies excluded.
• Atrophy.
• Uterine leiomyoma.

• Endometrial hyperplasia.
• Endometrial carcinoma.
  • Uterine carcinosarcoma.

• Endometrial stromal sarcoma.
• Uterine adenosarcoma.
• Gestational trophoblastic disease.

• Non-endometrial pathology.
