'Pneumatosis intestinalis is presence of air in the wall of the intestine. May be referred to as pseudolipomatosis.[1]
General
- Bad prognosis - esp. if diffuse.
Gross
- Small bubbles in the intestinal wall.

Features:
- +/-Large submucosal pseudocysts.
- +/-Vacuolation of the mucosa - fat-like spaces 30-250 micrometres in diameter.[1]
