Napsin is a commonly used immunostain in pulmonary pathology.
Positive
- Lung adenocarcinoma - 83% of cases.[1]
- Papillary renal cell carcinoma 79% of cases.[1]
Occasionally positive
- Clear cell renal cell carcinoma - 34% of cases.[1]
- Papillary thyroid carcinoma - 2/81 cases, tall cell variant only.[1]
