Kidney metastasis, also renal metastasis, is a kidney tumour that arose elsewhere and spread to the kidney.

General

  • Rare.
  • History should be compelling.

Clinical:

  • +/-Hematuria seen in 12-31% of cases.[1]

Gross

  • Typically in cortex close to the glomerular vascular plexus.[2]

Microscopic

Features:

  • Malignant neoplasm - morphology dependent on site of origin and type.
