Carcinosarcoma is a tumour with a malignant epithelial component (carcinoma) and a malignant mesenchymal component (sarcoma), based on histomorphology.
They can arise in a number of sites:
- Uterine carcinosarcoma (most common).
- Ovarian carcinosarcoma.
- Fallopian tube carcinosarcoma.
