Cellulitis is an acute inflammatory process of the dermis and/or subcutis due to an infection.[1][2]

General

Clinical features:[2]

  • Swelling.
  • Warmth
  • Tenderness.
  • Erythema.

Note:

  • These are the classic features of inflammation (rubor, tumour, calor and dolor).
