Benign lymphoepithelial lesion, also known as benign lymphoepithelial cyst, is a rare benign lesion of the head and neck.
General
- Usually parotid gland.
- Associated with autoimmune disease, e.g. Sjoegren disease, may not remain benign.[1]
Microscopic
Features:
- Lymphocytes.
- Ductal epithelial cells.[2]
Note:
- Must rule-out (MALT) lymphoma.
IHC
- CD20, CD3 -- mixed population.
- Kappa ~ lambda.
