Pneumatosis cystoides intestinalis is an uncommon intestinal pathology characterized by pseudocysts filled with air.

General

Possible etiologies:[3]

  • IBD.
  • Infection.
  • Bowel necrosis.
  • Malignancy.
  • Drugs, e.g. alpha-glucosidase inhibitors.
  • Idiopathic.
