Malaria is an infectious disease found in the tropics.

General

Symptoms:[1]

  • Fatigue.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Nausea and vomiting.

Etiology:

  • Often due to parasite Plasmodium falciparum - transmitted by mosquitoes.

Microscopic

Feature:

  • RBCs with basophilic dots ~1-2 micrometres.
