The vas deferens is not seen commonly.
Vasitis nodosa
General
- Develops post-vasovasostomy.[1]
- Some similarity to salpingitis isthmica nodosa.
Gross
- Mass.
Microscopic
Features:
- Tubules in wall of vas deferens.
- Lined by columnar/cuboidal epithelium.
- May have mitotic activity.
- Nucleoli.
- Lined by columnar/cuboidal epithelium.
- +/-Sperm granulomas.
- Histocytes - abundant foamy cytoplasm.
- Sperm - small black dots (~1 micrometer).
