Cellulitis is an acute inflammatory process of the dermis and/or subcutis due to an infection.[1][2] It is rarely biopsied.

Clinical features:[2]
- Swelling.
- Warmth
- Tenderness.
- Erythema.
Note:
- These are the classic features of inflammation (rubor, tumour, calor and dolor).
