CDX2 is a commonly used immunostain in pathology. It is a nuclear stain.
Normal
- Intestinal epithelium.[1]
Pathology
Positive
- Intestinal adenocarcinomas - esp. colorectal adenocarcinoma.
- Ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma +ve.[1]
Negative or positive
- Yolk sac tumour (8 of 20 cases - versus glypican-3).[2]
- Small bowel adenocarcinoma +ve/-ve (~43% +ve in series of 189 cases[3]).
Negative
- Lung adenocarcinoma -ve (<5% +ve in 20 cases[4]).
