Peliosis hepatis

Peliosis hepatis is a type of medical liver disease.

General

  • Prevalence - very rare.[1]
  • Rarely biopsied.
  • May cause hemoperitoneum.[1][2]
  • Etiology - unknown.[3]

Associated with:

  • Infections.
  • Malignancy.
  • Other stuff.

Clinical DDx:

Microscopic

Features:

  • Multiple small cysts[1] lined by endothelium.
    • Usually incomplete.
  • Blood.
