Luteinized follicular cyst is a benign finding in gynecologic pathology.
General
- Benign.
Microscopic
Features:[1]
- Stratified cuboidal/columnar epithelium-like cells with:
- Small nuclei and small nucleoli.
- Cytoplasm may be eosinophilic.
- Sit on spindled cells (theca interna) that is luteinized.
