Leiomyoblastoma of the stomach, also gastric leiomyoblastoma, is a very rare tumour of the stomach.

General

  • This is essentially an epithelioid leiomyoma.[1]
  • Many of the old reported cases in the literature probably represent GISTs.[3]

Microscopic

Features:[4]

  • Epithelioid (or polygonal) cells with perinuclear clearing - key feature.
