Cap polyposis, also inflammatory cap polyposis, is a very rare gastrointestinal pathology.

- Extremely rare.
- Benign.[1]
- May mimic malignancy.
- Association with colitis cystica profunda.[2]
Clinical - children:
- Rectal bleeding.[3]
Gross
- Abundant polypoid lesions.
- Erosions.
Microscopic

- Polypoid lesions with tips or caps of granulation tissue.
DDx:
- Pseudomembranous colitis.
- Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease).[4]
