Hereditary diffuse gastric cancer

Hereditary diffuse gastric cancer, abbreviated HDGC, is an important hereditary cause of diffuse gastric cancer.[1]

It is caused by mutations in the epithelial cadherin gene (also E-cadherin and CDH1).[2][3]
