Abernathy malformation

Etiology:

  • Congenital shunt between portal vein and inferior vena cava.

Clinical:

  • Hepatopulmonary syndrome.
    • Pulmonary hypertension.
  • Hepatorenal syndrome.
    • Renal failure.

Treatment:

  • May be treated with a liver transplant.[1]
