- Squamous mucosa with underlying inflammation of fascial tissue, adipose tissue and microabscesses.
- NEGATIVE for dysplasia and NEGATIVE for malignancy.

Comment: 
The histologic considerations are necrotizing fasciitis, pyoderma gangrenosum, and panniculitis.  The clinical impression of necrotizing fasciitis is noted.
