Recurrence
The sections show colonic-type mucosa with a tubule-forming lesion with cribriforming that has enlarged pleomorphic nuclei. Mitotic figures are seen focally. Plump spindle cells with eosinophilic cytoplasm surround the abnormal epithelium (desmoplastic stroma).
The tumour is adjacent to benign colonic-type mucosa. No precursor lesion is apparent in the sampled tissue.
