Retroperitoneal fibrosis is a rare thingy urologists and rheumatologists dealt with.

General

  • May cause obstructive uropathy.[1]

Treatment:

  • Immunosuppression.

Microscopic

Features:[2][1]

  • Fibrous tissue (pink background) with inflammatory cells like plasma cells, benign lymphocytes and eosinophils. The white open spaces are entrapped adipocytes.
