Decubitus ulcer, also pressure ulcer, is a relatively common ditzel.

General

  • Common.

Microscopic

Features:

  • Ulceration - full thickness loss of the epidermis.
  • Inflammation - lymphocytes, plasma cells, neutrophils.
  • +/-Abscess formation - clusters of extravascular neutrophils.
