Osteoarthritis is a degenerative disease of the joint.

Gross pathology/radiology

Features:[1]

  • Loss of cartilage, especially asymmetrical (eburnation).
  • Osteophyte formation.
  • Subchondral cysts.
  • Subchondral sclerosis.
