Oral pathology is a domain of dentistry. In the context of anatomical pathology, it can be lumped with head and neck pathology.

Smoker's melanosis

General

  • Benign.
  • Associated with smoking.
    • May be seen in non-smokers. (???)

Microscopic

Features:

  • Basal melanosis.
  • +/-Melanin incontinence.
