Contact dermatitis, abbreviated CD, is a common inflammatory skin disorder in the spongiotic dermatitides group.

  • Pruritus (itchy).

Gross

  • Lesions only where in contact with causative agent - key feature.
  • Erythema.
  • Vesicles.

Microscopic

Features:

  • Spongiotic dermatitis.
