Bosniak classification of renal cysts is a radiologic classification system for kidney cysts.

Category Percentage malignant - based on Curry et al.[1]
Bosniak I 0% (4 cases)
Bosniak II 0% (11 cases)
Bosniak III 60% (29/59 cases)
Bosniak IV 100% (18/18 cases)

Note:

  • Bosniak II is split into II and IIF.[2]
    • IIF have minimally suspicious features and should get follow-up imaging.
