The von Hippel-Lindau syndrome is characterized by (mnemonic: HIPPEL):[1]

  • Hemanigoblastomas.
  • Increased renal cancer (clear cell RCC).
  • Pheochromocytoma.
  • Port-wine stains.
  • Eye dysfunction.
  • Liver cysts.
  • pancreas cyts.
  • kidney cysts.

Bare bones version:

  • Hippel-Lindau, with H and L as above.
