Cribriform pattern, also cribriform architecture, is a morphologic pattern that is common in pathology, and may be seen in benign and malignant tissue.
Definition
Pierced with small holes.[1]
Some considerations
Breast:
- Atypical ductal hyperplasia.
- Cribriform DCIS.
Prostate:
- Cribriform high grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia.
Gastrointestinal tract:
- Cribriforming in a tubular adenoma with high-grade dysplasia.
