Schwannoma
Microscopic
Sections show a biphasic tumour in which prominent nuclear palisades are common in the areas of dense cellularity (Antoni A). No mitotic activity is detected. There are degenerative changes with hemosiderin deposition focally.
Focally, the tumour has a whorled appearance; however, there are no calcifications.
