- PROLIFERATIVE ENDOMETRIAL WITH MARKED FOCAL GLAND TORTUOSITY, SEE MICROSCOPIC.
Micro
The sections show proliferative endometrium with marked focal gland tortuosity; the endometrial glands have a serpentine shape. A good amount of stroma perpendicular to the surface, i.e. horizontally, is found between the individual serpentine-shaped glands; however, vertically (in the axis of the glands) the glands appear compressed/back-to-back. No sharp transition is seen between the serpentine-like glands, and the surrounding unremarkable proliferative endometrium (suggests benign). No cribriforming of glands is identified. Nuclear atypia is not readily apparent. Most of the endometrium is unremarkable proliferative endometrium.
